Coal is west virginia and my family had many miners. I dont want anything fancy. I grew up way out in the country in Nicholas County and enjoyed many of the same things that most of the people here in WV enjoyed. I have traveled and lived in many places and none of them has my heart strings attached like those hollers in West Virginia. I really enjoyed reading that .I was raised in a holler also and it sure brought back a lot of good memories. In late winter, I find myself waiting to see the first green bud..the first hint of green grass playing around the edges of dirt road that encircles my house.
